Health officials in the UAE reported 261 new cases of coronavirus on Friday, taking the total number of infections in the country to 58,249 since the onset of the pandemic.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) revealed that over 46,000 Covid-19 tests had been carried out over the past 24 hours.
MoHAP confirmed that a further person had died from coronavirus, taking the death toll up to 343.
It was also noted that an additional 387 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 51,235.
