Listing details

Here is the complete set of all 8 Swiss Family Robinson trading cards from the rare 1972 issue of Family Classics. Only available on a weekly basis at participating Burger Chef locations, finding these cards has proven an elusive task for most non sports collectors. Most have only been able to find odds and we have received hundreds of wantlists over the years. Here is your chance to own them all! They were issued to promote the Family Classic Cartoon Series, produced by Videocraft and sponsored by Burger Chef. It is interesting to notice that the same artists were used to animate these cartoons as other productions such as Frosty The Snowman. In fact, you will recognize a Professor Hinkle, Karen , and the other kids lookalikes. It is also interesting to note many of these are Disney Classics and it is neat to see them in a non Disney format. We have been getting a lot of requests to sell them in individual cartoon form. For the first time ever we are doing this. This opportunity allows you to buy the subset you want or need without breaking the bank.A different cartoon came out each month, so the promotion ran for a year. This helps explain why these have been so elusive and why the later cartoons have rarely been seen in the hobby. Winner pays $3.50 shipping and handling, we do combine shipping on multiple lots to save you money.
